& hands on me

we cross the deepest oceans, cargo across the sea,
and if you don't believe me, just put your hands on me.

i miss the vanessa carlton michelle branch era. singer songwriters are such a serious novelty. adele, natasha, sara, and kate are my quadrilateral of music lately.

last night was pleasant though not what i expected my night to be. i ended up at downtown disney with some friends after a delicious meal at k'ya. k'ya is pretty much street food from around the world brought to one restaurant. it has the same concept as street by susan feniger which i've always wanted to try.

as i perused downtown disney, there was so much mickey mouse paraphernalia that i so desperately wanted to waste my hard earned money on but i stopped myself because really... am i ever going to wear mickey earrings? i still think i need the mickey cookie cutter though. i'm pretty content with my minnie headband purchase. photoshoot with them soon? haha

according to blogger, this is my 100th post. had i known, i would have picked a much more festive ensemble. for my 200th, i'll be sure to tutu it out.

i've decided that shopping in LA's fashion district has lost its luster. unless you're going for sample sale, where i get my fabulous muubaa leather jacket, it's just not worth it. the same mass produced items with a different label sewn on are available up and down melrose. and because there are so many boutiques that carry the same items, they are forced to be much more competitive with one another in regards to pricing. the same top downtown will be half the price on melrose. JUST SAYING.

on that note, i have befriended a lovely korean lady who owns 3 stores up and down melrose and she kindly offers me an additional 30% off! ok definitely making me a loyal customer now...

tonight, a walk to dinner followed by some grocery shopping and bumming it on my bed watching a movie with the boyf.

& fall for anything

this past weekend, i went to south coast plaza for the first time and was more than impressed. i wanted to touch everything. the unfortunate aspect was i was very saddened as i walked out of balenciaga with no shopping bags. fortunately, this makes me want to work harder so that one day, spending $3,000 on an accessory isn't much of a setback if at all.

nonetheless, i did get 3 bags from henri bendel and 5 new free people pieces. 1 pair of dolce vita sandals. 1 matthew williamson for macy's sweater (as seen here).

my post shopping excursion to melrose only resulted in about a dozen new pieces to play with as well as a vintage chanel bag that albeit is tiny, but MINE :) thank you to wasteland for making this possible. hopefully the first of many!

also... ran into emma watson at <3 Melrose, a boutique i adore though it has rather gaudy decor. she was beyond sweet and absolutely loved the chan luu wrap bracelet i tore off my wrist for her. glad she's so down-to-earth. i'm done shaking now.

since i'm so obsessed with all things grandma-like, i love crochet pieces. as demonstrated by my LF crochet top.
