finally got a chance to bust out these purple shorts! they're actually supposed to be bermuda shorts length but lord knows that would make my legs appear even stumpier. i ended up cuffing them which gave them the perfect length.

surprisingly had no trouble at all styling them. i opted for a simple striped tee and some pewter giltter sneakers. oh, and they're unbelievably comfortable!

so glad i finally made it out to abbot kinney. i had heard about this fabulous street in various movies and tv shows. and from real people too… and it definitely lived up to my expectations. there are so many cute shops here! also, the ice cream shop we visited nice cream, gives the most generous portions.

i opted for my extremely neon jeans and my favorite blouse. easy breezy for a california beach day. not going to lie, i previously underestimated wet seal and was pleasantly surprised. granted these jeans really are what you pay for. no zipper. no pockets. literally have to shimmy my hips into them. but for $19.50, who's complaining?

and this post marks the last of the vegas shoots. there was some kind of fantastic pink reflection from one of the excalibur buildings that made me look rosy.

looking at these photos makes me really miss vegas. i want to lay poolside and get a weird tan from my cut out monokini. i sense another trip very soon..

this parking lot structure literally had one of the best views of vegas, and one of the worst. one side was the gorgeous golden trump hotel and the other was a skeezy lingerie shop. best of both worlds i guess. just kidding.

love the lace cut out in this dress. probably why i adore style stalker. they have the most carefully thought out details in their pieces.

when in vegas, you can wear whatever you want and get away with it. literally. pretty much my excuse for this ensemble. probably not something i'd walk around in out and about LA but i was wearing a hell of a lot more clothes than most people in LV. #notevenexaggerating.

do wish i had more excuses to prance around in a bustier though. they're so fun and daring.

the wind from the cars made the perfect wind effect to showcase this dress. i'm not really one for crazy prints and whatnot but the combination on this dress was too good to pass. and the fact that there was only one left, and it was my size, meant that this was destiny. the dress is super lightweight but not in the way that makes your underwear shine through. excellent.

i don't even know how to begin describing how difficult it was to get a shot of this sign. finding the sign was a no brainer as it happened to be outside our hotel. getting to the sign. #lifethreatening

definitely couldn't walk in those heels to begin with let alone on the rounded giant rocks where the sign is. nonetheless, i loved the "i'll do anything to get this shot" attitude both nik and i apparently have.

can't wait to do this again.

the people at ainsley sent me this floral skirt just in time for spring/summer. the skirt is a beautiful printed silk. managed a few marilyn monroe-esque moments actually when the wind picked up.

definitely going to wear it with a slouchy tank and sandals. perhaps to my vegas trip?

barstow outlets… not quite a hip and happening shopping center. on the brighter side, it did make the perfect "isolated" backdrop.

haven't worn this dress literally since 2008 and every time i wear it, i still struggle to keep it on which clearly means no bra size is ideal for this particular maxi dress. regardless, i still can't get over the beautiful shade of purple and the strange fringe-y detail. naturally, i had to hem it for my height. totally worth every penny.

is there any possibility that this signage is for sale? it's the perfect substitute for the globe i never knew how to read anyways.

i found a new way to wear my awkwardly long blouse! turns out it looks even better worn open over a romper. who knew. now i'm on the lookout for more awkwardly long blouses that i can wear in a similar manner.
