the best shoots are the most impromptu.

on a recent road trip, nik & i stopped literally in the middle of nowhere and found this modern day looking pyramid off the highway. though the heat was a bit more than blistering, the sheer spontaneity of the whole situation really gave us both genuine happiness.

i find that some sequined skirts are designed to be a bit fancy for everyday wear. in order to look less misplaced, i paired this piece with a casual tank from kill city. and i finally rediscovered my nike gladiator sandals from last year. i'm pretty confident they're sold out. bummer.

nothing makes me happier than farmer's markets. (so to speak). small business + food = jenny's heaven. admittedly, i buy way more food than even i can eat. i usually end up with a few bags of jarred jalapenos, tubs of vegan peanut butter, and large bags of popcorn. yum! this farmer's market was especially exciting because it is nestled behind the magic castle in the heart of hollywood. look at that view!

just a lot of sparkle because that's how i like it.

the original idea for this outfit was in front of this amazing collection of movie props but the unbearable wind moved us closer to this mansion-filled street. i think it worked out for the better.

i've been a little too obsessed with this popcorn my mom brought me. and by that i mean there's none left. and let me tell you, it was a huge bag.

although i think working right next to the orpheum theater is pretty exciting. they often have something going on there. once when i got off work, abbey lee kershaw was shooting right where these shots were taken.

the beauty of shopping end of season is scoring pieces like this sheer floral maxi skirt from nordstrom for $18. the sad part is waiting til it's [semi] - appropriate to actually wear it. can't say how much i adore socal winters. they're more like a breezy spring day.

so glad we managed to catch some of the sun in these photos. it actually drizzled and was rather gloomy the day we shot these. nothing stops me from wearing strapless, mildly sheer tops though. pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and fitted these jeans were. and for $10.50, i'm feeling pangs of regret for not getting another pair.

seeing everyone's nyfw photos makes me lust for a vacation. i've never been on a cruise and frankly at the current moment, there is nothing i would love more than a trip to some magically tropical place so i can wear the below.

fear of heights. not quite conquered. however, i'd be willing to do this shoot again. the lighting is undeniably captivating! i'm pretty sure you can see the fear in my eyes in a few of the shots. nik was spiderman all over that fire escape. i made the mistake of looking down after the first 3 shots. that pretty much killed any kind of cat woman maneuver.

picked up the top from urban outfitters on saturday. one size fits all. perfect. love love love oversized slouchy tees. and of course, david lerner leggings. a personal fave.
