instavegas - anniversary edition

brief photo diary of my recent trip to vegas with the boyf for our 1 year anniversary. fyi, we ate at 5 buffets. i was foodcoma-ed leaving vegas.

first stop! big boys in barstow, ca for a semi-midway lunch break.

loved my stay at the mandalay bay! any hotel that provides me complimentary l'occitane products is an A+ in my book.

favorite sushi restaurant ever. too bad it's all the way in vegas. $24.95 ayce. unreal.

discovered my reaction to soft shell crab isn't as violent as it used to be. yum!

day 2 - top: angl, shorts: urban outfitters

poolside day 2! top: forever 21, bottoms: one teaspoon

macarons at wicked spoon.

so yummy. and… so potent…

babes got me nike training shoes! this picture does not do the hot pink justice.

best visually appealing buffet. wicked spoon @ the cosmopolitan.

new jeffrey campbells.

fave new creation. bayside buffet @ the mandalay bay.

best desserts. the buffet @ the aria.

day 3 poolside.

boba for the ride home. bye vegas!

welcome to vegas

top: urban outfitters // shorts: boutique // shoes: nasty gal

i don't even know how to begin describing how difficult it was to get a shot of this sign. finding the sign was a no brainer as it happened to be outside our hotel. getting to the sign. #lifethreatening

definitely couldn't walk in those heels to begin with let alone on the rounded giant rocks where the sign is. nonetheless, i loved the "i'll do anything to get this shot" attitude both nik and i apparently have.

can't wait to do this again.

diner-saur park

top: american apparel // skirt: angl // shoes: converse // headband: handmade

i'm very convinced that peggy sue's diner-saur park is a crime scene hot spot. there is the most eclectic hodgepodge of random. ducks. a murky pond. strange statues in the form of death. a stage with a broken light. yeah. what's the CSI hotline?

threw together an outfit and naturally i liked it better than most things i wear. felt very free people inspired. i got the headband off a little cart at the mall and it turns out the girl handmakes all of her goods. #sweet.

eastside cannery poolisde

hat: melrose // bikini: victoria's secret PINK

photography: nik sarac

can't say i wouldn't sacrifice a few good meals to me back to this poolside. that's saying a WHOLE lot. and it's not just about the pool. it's about the whole vibe of that whole weekend.

i have more bikinis than any human needs and yet i'm still always searching for that one with that extra something special. mara hoffman has done a fantastic job of wooing me.

ainsley floral

top: urban outfitters // skirt: ainsley // pumps: steve madden // monogram necklace: bauble bar

photography: nik sarac

the people at ainsley sent me this floral skirt just in time for spring/summer. the skirt is a beautiful printed silk. managed a few marilyn monroe-esque moments actually when the wind picked up.

definitely going to wear it with a slouchy tank and sandals. perhaps to my vegas trip?

who knew that cargo pants - when two sizes too big - have just the right slouchy effect. #truestorybro

peggy sue's

top: random boutique // shorts: macy's // shoes: steve madden

photography: nik sarac

one of these days, i'm going to actually eat at peggy sue's. after a little wikipedia-ing, i found that she was actually once a hollywood starlet who left the fame to open up her little diner.

i'm convinced that the diner is haunted though. more about that later.

channeling mickey mouse

skirt: pleasure doing business (similar here)// top: LF // shoes: jeffrey campbell glitter litas // sunglasses: 80s purple // necklace: peshka (use code: JENNY10 for 10% off)

photography: nik sarac

can't honestly say that my eyes didn't widen with glee when i saw these sunglasses. i mean seriously. they flip open and turn into mickey ear sunglasses. that's pretty epic. oh and, they're $14. i know. unreal.

nik and i stopped by these california palms on our road trip and fell in love with the lighting and well, the palms. if i haven't already made my cali skyline obsessions clear, let these pictures help my case.

happy mother's day!
