got my siwy shorts finally! couldn't wait to wear them but definitely had one of those days where i felt like i had nothing to wear them with which i'm sure is very untrue. guess i wasn't having an inspirational day...

spent the day at work and then went to ikea with my besty nik. we had swedish meatballs, cake, fries, ice cream cones... yes very filling and no help to my diet that i switch on and off every 3 hours. i'm on a diet when i'm not hungry i suppose. or when there's not delicious food within arm's reach. :)

i still need art! i'll get that at next month's ikea trip. thank goodness for man friends. nikkypoop carried and put together my coffee table! <3 it's almost been two years since i've been liviing my studio and i had never bothered to buy a coffee table. wtf? oh wait i remember now. i worked at armani as an indentured slave. i had no money to buy a coffee table. it's all screaming back at me now...

i value tradition intensely, something i picked up from my mom. every year, since i can remember, my parents take me around chinatown and santa ana to visit temples during chinese new year. every year we try to outdo the year before. as bored as i am while we're on our temple trail, i actually enjoy the fact that my parents culture me. i'm glad that i can speak my native language and actually know my culture. it's important to me.

today, i went with them to a few temples and we stopped to eat at pho palace in chinatown. can't get enough of cheap & yummy foodstuffs. we also stopped by to pick up chinese new year decorations for the luncheon i'm hosting tomorrow at work!

i wore my long nude maxi dress that i got from the fashion district today. my parents called me to tell me they had arrived at my apartment and i hadn't even showered. i literally threw clothes on as i ran out the door holding my make up bag. thankfully my black faux leather jacket goes with almost everything. plus i really only wear neutral colors anyways. makes moments like these less hazardous. my only wish? that my hair didn't look like a rag doll's...

today i went hiking with my lovely PTK girls.
the turnout was amazing! we got 18 girls altogether.

naturally, being FIDM students, we all had our crossbody bags on us texting away. one girl even brought make up along. i love it :) ain't nothing like a bunch of FIDM girls.

i definitely forgot that i even needed sneakers so halfway around the block i noticed my havaianas and u-turned back to my apartment to get my purple pumas.

my savings finally say 5 digits and now it's back to 4. the heeeeezy. it's ok... i have to deposit my chinese new year money still!! and i'm going to sell more clothes on ebay soon. got lots to get rid offf.

here's how i get rid of my clothes in order of how much i'll get back
1. buffalo exchange - i shop there enough where 50% in store credit is worth it to me. it eliminates the hassle of having to write out item descriptions, answer questions from ebayers, and ship items.

2. ebay - i weed through and pick out the items i think are best for ebay. items from abercrombie, victoria's secret pink, coach, etc tend to do very well on ebay and are much more worth it than the $6 in store credit i'd get back at buffalo.

3. yard sale - i do this with a friend and i sell pretty much everything for $1. major closet cleanser with the added bonus of a few extra bucks.

today was a sad day at work. i bought lauryn lunch. yesterday she gave me lucky money for chinese new year. i'm so sad that i can't work with her anymore. :( she was a truly nice person that had very witty moments. it's ok because life throws curve balls but you just gotta keep on going. i have her number so i'll just text her.

yesterday, i got home and spend 2 hours shredding two t shirts. my goodness was that time consuming. i finally perfected my white hanes t from target.

american apparel had a similar top a while back but being the fashion student that i am, i refuse to buy certain things that i can make.
