ace & butterflies

i've been especially pensive and musical today. currently obsessing over a fine frenzy's almost lover. pretty much the mood of this shoot.

leave it to stylestalker to change my mind about butterflies. my dislike has lessened, but only slightly. i mean how can you hate a pair of perfectly suedette butterfly skinnies? especially when you score them at a sample sale for $20. exactly.

wearing necklaces backwards… genius. new goal in life: do this as often as possible without looking like a hot mess.

and for the record, every girl needs a black dress of some kind. if you're like me, you need one for cocktail affairs, the office, going out, wearing everyday, and then some.

diy studded blouse + stylestalker leggings

who would have thought i'd ever shop for clothes at the 99 cent store. though my original reason for visiting the store did not include clothing, i spotted this 100% silk blouse on their itty bitty rack and swiped it. i added studs i purchased from etsy on the collar. probably one of my better DIY attempts.

friggatriskaidekaphobia

"Frigga being the name of the Norse goddess for whom "Friday" is named and triskaidekaphobia meaning fear of the number thirteen"
- wikipedia (because i believe this is a valid source.)

"According to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in North Carolina, about 17 million people fear Friday the 13th."

after combing the top 3 sites google suggested for "friday the 13th superstitions" and still coming up empty-handed, i decided to retire my curiosity for the color black and it's relation to this holiday. however, if any of you know, feel free to let me know because apparently google was useless.

weekend plans consist of a wonderfully authentic chinese dinner with my family on saturday whom i miss terribly and a home-cooked breakfast from the babe after the gym on sunday.
