the last party i went to was BOMBtastic. it was for this stud jacob brody. he finalllly turned 2! waleed and i are complete children. we have more fun at children's birthdays than we do at grown adult parties with booze. we bounced in the bouncy. my first time ever. i remember when i was 5, i went to a birthday party that had a bouncy house and my mom had dressed me up soooo cute in this super formal party dress and did my hair all cute and curly. i also wore little people heels. all other kids sported holey tees and old navy jeans. no sir. i was pageant princess. well that also hindered me from playing in the bouncy. i will never forget sitting and watching while everyone else defied gravity.

we also were pinata cherry popped. neither of us had ever swung at some paper mached construction stuffed with candy. it was humuliating and i enjoyed every moment of it.

oh to be young and carefree. what's that like? i got a glimpse at this raging party.




did i mention... there was a taco lady... who made unlimited tacos??? pure bliss.

my friend tory took me to this amazing cafe/restaurant/bar called the alcove in los feliz. first and foremost, anyone whose portions include practically an entire avocado on my burger, i'm sold. also, when your side is actually something edible, i'm more than happy. not to mention they had these baked goods/treats that were heavenly! i liked it so much i went back a day later and have already made plans to go back again... i'm a little obsessive.

on a side note, i must confess that i was mildly forced to discard of 3 dishes and a baking pan because i had left my dishes for 3 weeks and mold was fully formed. it was beyond sickening. i must also admit that i was trying to avoid writing my paper which led to me doing my dishes. i guess the lesser of two evils. needless to say i will be using paper plates and disposable utensils i steal from trader joes.
















post dinner we went to this orgasmic gelato bar. i got the rose gelato. it tasted exactly like a rose. again... liked it so much i went back after my second strip to the alcove...

i have umbrellas. i really do. in fact i have four. because you know... i'm a hoarder sometimes. but for some reason, my laziness gets the best of me. i choose to not carry umbrellas. nipples (nip/nippy/nik) and i got caught in the rain. being the fat kid that i am, i realized since i was already soaking, there was simply no point in running. nipples said something about it's all about how long we were in the rain and not the fact that we're already wet. i found that to be incredibly against my beliefs. so i walked. he ran. and we were the same amount of wet. in that we were entirely. i think i won this one.

i might have been a touch more inclined to running had i not had 4 plates of sushi mac RIGHT before.
