so glad i finally made it out to abbot kinney. i had heard about this fabulous street in various movies and tv shows. and from real people too… and it definitely lived up to my expectations. there are so many cute shops here! also, the ice cream shop we visited nice cream, gives the most generous portions.

i opted for my extremely neon jeans and my favorite blouse. easy breezy for a california beach day. not going to lie, i previously underestimated wet seal and was pleasantly surprised. granted these jeans really are what you pay for. no zipper. no pockets. literally have to shimmy my hips into them. but for $19.50, who's complaining?

nothing makes me happier than farmer's markets. (so to speak). small business + food = jenny's heaven. admittedly, i buy way more food than even i can eat. i usually end up with a few bags of jarred jalapenos, tubs of vegan peanut butter, and large bags of popcorn. yum! this farmer's market was especially exciting because it is nestled behind the magic castle in the heart of hollywood. look at that view!

i think i'm finally breaking out of the "i just came from a funeral" syndrome and playing more with color. i'm waiting for the sun to do its damage on my skin so that these bright colors will look much better on me. disclaimer: i do not promote cancer. just saying. if you need a good suncreen, try burn out. shameless promotion for my favorite sunscreen. yep.

the orange lace is a great update from my uniform of cream lace. and this orange in particular was ideal in that it did not damage my already failing eyesight. #winning.

can't even explain how excited i was when arthur of magic hand jewelry handed me my shiny new bracelet. those who know me know that there's nothing that gets me like personalization. and no i was never a fan of those horrendous initial purses. but i love jewelry with my initials. in this case, it has mine and marc's initials. a birthday gift from arthur!

i think i wear this blouse out to death. it's my go-to top for when i feel like i have nothing to wear. i really need to invest in more basic blouses and tees. LAMade has so many affordable and chic basics. i can't get enough of their spring collection!

so glad we managed to catch some of the sun in these photos. it actually drizzled and was rather gloomy the day we shot these. nothing stops me from wearing strapless, mildly sheer tops though. pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and fitted these jeans were. and for $10.50, i'm feeling pangs of regret for not getting another pair.

this past weekend was spent mostly at disneyland with marc. my goodness was that exhausting but so incredibly fun! now i really really want to get an annual pass to disneyland! ahh that would be unreal. and of course, not that socal select one. like the premium no blackout dates one! pictures tomorrow as i cornily enough want to post it on valentine's day.

i've been really liking the button down under a sweater thing. this makes me feel preppy which is not me at all. doesn't help that i picked up a striped fitted sweater at abercrombie this weekend... and a rugby cardigan.

and RIP to one of my singing idols, whitney houston. <3

this vest is the first faux fur vest i ever bought and beside the sentimental attachment, it's incredibly warm works well with almost anything i wear.

"boyfriend" jeans

at one point, these jeans were waaaayy too tight. they have now become my "boyfriend jeans." must say, they are probably one of my favorite things now because they're so incredibly comfortable.

that LAMB bag has a very special place in my closet. although it's not my favorite bag anymore, it was my very first higher end bag that i bought. i remember marking it with a pen on my first day using it. that was a sad day. note to self: do not try to rub off pen stains with your bare fingers. makes it way worse.
