red coated denim

ran into this amazing neon art downtown.

conveniently enough, the artist, CS Navarrate aka D R M W L K R was standing around waiting for the shop to open to finish his interior project. visit his facebook here.

nik and i are on a mission to visit his 90ft art piece near little tokyo. think more chevron neon but larger scale. epic.

i have a new obsession with wax coated jeans. especially when they're read. these jeans fit incredibly comfortably and i'm convinced they go with everything.

leathered sleeves

not usually an ann taylor fan but i loved this black faux leather sleeve jacket. lf is probably one of my favorite stores. and i'm only telling you this because i care. they're having their semi-annual sale at the current moment. so if you plan on going, you should take me with you. if not, then you should definitely pick me up a pair of those rainbow & gold jeffrey campbell platform heels.

my favorite plaid shirt

unlike most fashion lovers, i'm not intensely attracted to vintage finds. mostly i find that the pieces have bizarre silhouettes or protruding shoulder pads. not flattering on my 5' 2" frame at all. however, i do like vintage flannels and denim cut offs. more than a lot.

i found this men's flannel at a small boutique on the sunset strip and it literally feels like i'm wearing pajamas. i'd be lying if i said i didn't live in this for an entire week. hygiene was not my greatest concern, clearly. i've since then picked up a few different flannels that i can rotate but none that have that same relaxed, cool vibe.

just realized this post doesn't have a title.

sweater: armani exchange // skirt: lush // heels: steve madden // coat: urban outfitters // bag: balenciaga

i haven't actually taken any blog photos for the new year so these will have to do for now. they were saved from the end of last year. i would have taken photos today but i was instructed to wear unbeautiful clothes as we had to count inventory today.

those steve madden heels have been on my to-buy list for months now but all the stores i visit have always been sold out in my size. finally found them at the beverly center! the coat was a steal at urban outfitters. it makes me feel like a cross between serena van der woodsen and blair waldorf.

i think my "new year's resolution," as i don't really make them... is to try to use more of my purses. i was looking through my collection (slightly doing a cleanse) and there are so many that have never made my blog. same goes with shoes i suppose. though since almost all of my blog photos are taken on my fifteen minute breaks from work, it's a bit difficult to wear more my fancy heels as i might have trouble navigating at work.
